Dark chocolate and maple glazed fudge
A melt-in-your-mouth bite that perfectly combines dark chocolate and maple.
- Preparation time: 10 minutes
- Freezing time: 8 hours or overnight
- Depending on the molds (about 10 to 12 pops)
Ingredients
Frozen fudge base
- 1 can (400 ml) full-fat coconut milk
- 1 cup 5% Greek yogurt
- 2 scoops vanilla protein powder
- 1/4 cup very high-quality dark cocoa (we use the one from Maison Jacynthe🍫)
- 3/8 cup maple syrup (1/4 cup + 2 tbsp)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch fleur de sel
Coating
- 200 g dark chocolate (ideally 70% chocolate)
- 2 tbsp deodorized coconut oil
Toppings (optional) to mix into the coating chocolate
- Chopped roasted peanuts
- or chopped maple pecans
- or chopped almonds
- Fleur de sel (optional)
Instructions
Base
- Place all ingredients in a bowl
- Mix until smooth and uniform.
- Pour into popsicle molds.
- Freeze for at least 8 hours, ideally overnight.
Coating
- Melt the dark chocolate with the coconut oil in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each round.
- Pour the melted chocolate into a tall, narrow container.
Assembly
- Unmold the pops once they are completely frozen.
- Quickly dip each pop in the chocolate.
- Let drip for a few seconds.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
The chocolate will set almost instantly 😍
